First Mailing Tips
Here are a few tips to make your first mailing simple
CSV File
When you are uploading your mailing into LGPass, it needs to be a CSV file, specifically a Windows CSV, here's how:
Windows Machine - Good news, just save your file as a CSV and you are all set!
Mac - Go to File, Save as and choose Windows (or MS-DOS CSV)
That's it, now it's time to upload!
Test Mode
The first time you use LGPass, your account is in test mode - it's advised that you leave it there until you are ready to actually mail.
While in Test Mode:
- Your letters are not mailed!
- There is no charge for letters while in test mode!
It's your time to test the process out!
You can tell your account is in test mode because of the yellow bar across the top as shown below!
Remember: When you are ready to switch to Live you will have to remail your letters like we show below!
Uploading
Ready to upload? Go to Mailings -> Import Mailing Data, choose your file and then follow the steps.
Your offers will go into the queue and start processing, it might take a few minutes, and you don't have to stay on the screen, it will process in the background
Mapping your file to LGPass
After uploading the file, you will see the mapping screen.
On this screen, you will notice three columns.
The left column shows you the column we see in your CSV file.
In the right column are the fields that LGPass.
The middle column maps or bridges the left (excel) to the right (LGPass). Here, you tell us how to connect your data to the LGPass fields.
If you are consistent in your Excel headers, LGPass will remember your selections so they will be automatically populated next time.
I want to see the Letter
Want to see the letter? Simple you can click on the name here OR go to Mailing -> View Mailing and click on the name there.
Scroll down and click on "Remote File," the offer letter will appear!
I have an error!
Ok, click the name and scroll to the bottom of the mailing record, the error will appear, as shown below, likely it's a address verification issue, be the details or listed.
Moving to Live
Ready to move to live? Click your name in the upper right corner and choose "Automated Mailing Options"
After Live - Remail your List
Option 1 - Upload your list again (too much work)
Option 2 - Go to Mailing -> Remail - this is where you can now choose to remail batch you uploaded!
Find the row you want to remail and click the remail icon on the right side
Remailing Options- If you want to adjust your price you can, but since this is your first upload, just choose "remail"
Done!
If you in your live Flight School, comment done in the chat so we can mark you as complete.
20 - 30 per day!
It's now time to start your mailings, remember, the minimum is 20 per day, but you might want to go to 30 per day!
