The address I mailed to is different than what is on the letter
I mailed to one address and the offer letter appears that it was sent to a different address, how does this occur?
All mailers sent through LGPass and subsequently through Lob get run through NCOA as part of our production workflow. The fact that an address was changed from the rendered pdf in Lob to the actual mailing is most likely the result of a National Change of Address (NCOA).
For context, this is a database compiled by the USPS that captures all change of address records and is used by our Production teams to verify addresses right before mailing with USPS (this is a necessary step that USPS requires as part of the mailing process). With that being said, the only way a mailing gets sent to a different address than what was given to us in the create_letter request is if the recipient has an NCOA on file.
So, that recipient changed their address with the USPS, we picked up the new address and it was returned to you as the person is no longer at that address, however, they never updated the registry.
